The tutorial and assembly programme at St. Peter’s Sixth Form allows time to be dedicated to students to discuss academic progress, future pathways and day to day issues. The PSHE and Citizenship programme seeks to enable the students to develop into informed, independent, caring individuals so that they may fulfil their potential personally, socially, spiritually and intellectually. Ultimately the aim is to prepare the students for the vast array of opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life in the 21st century. As part of this preparation, we have visiting speakers who come to talk to the year group from time to time on a variety of topics ranging from Road Safety to Student Finance.
Christian Living lessons are part of the core curriculum for all students enabling students to continue with their beliefs and further their understanding of morality and spirituality. These lessons not only enhance the students‘ understanding of Personal Development and Citizenship already offered but also encourage the students to think about their place in society to a much deeper level.
