The pupil Leadership Team is an integral part of the Sixth Form community and members are selected by a rigorous process including an interview and election by their peers.
The team comprises of eight Year 13 pupils combined. Of the eight elected members, two pupils are further elected to run as Head and Deputy. The roles and responsibilities of the team are broad and vary throughout the academic year. In the main they include:
Acting as the Sixth Form pupil voice – team members are ‘go to’ people for the Sixth Form pupil body to communicate ideas to the Sixth Form team. Likewise the Sixth Form team will actively seek the opinion of the pupil leadership team whenever the views of the pupils are required.
Organising social events – team members are responsible for organising social events for the Sixth Form pupils. Events include the Year 13 Leavers Book and Leavers Ball for Year 13 pupils.
Organising charity events and fundraisers. The events involve running activities to raise money for charities chosen by the Sixth Form pupil body by getting pupils, staff and parents involved.
Contributing to the wider issues relevant to main school and Sixth Form.
