The tutorial and assembly programme at St. Peter’s Sixth Form allows time to be dedicated to pupils to discuss academic progress, future pathways and day to day issues. The PSHE and Citizenship programme seeks to enable the pupils to develop into informed, independent, caring individuals so that they may fulfil their potential personally, socially, spiritually and intellectually. Ultimately the aim is to prepare the pupils for the vast array of opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life in the 21st century. As part of this preparation, we have visiting speakers who come to talk to the year group from time to time on a variety of topics ranging from Road Safety to Pupil Finance.
Christian Living lessons are part of the core curriculum for all pupils enabling pupils to continue with their beliefs and further their understanding of morality and spirituality. These lessons not only enhance the pupils‘ understanding of Personal Development and Citizenship already offered but also encourage the pupils to think about their place in society to a much deeper level.
