Welcome
Welcome to St Peter’s Catholic School.
I hope the information on our website provides you with a flavour of our exceptional school and the wide range of opportunities available to our pupils. St Peter’s is a special place and, as a former pupil myself, I feel truly privileged and honoured to now serve as its Headteacher.
Why Choose Us?
Faith
St Peter's exists to enable the pupils not simply to grow in their own faith but to help them to be able to take their place in the world as mature Christians. We aim, as a truly Catholic school, to help young people develop a global attitude so that they can see themselves, and play their part, as citizens of the world.
Community
A good education is the best possible preparation for adult life and at St Peter’s, we aim to ensure that every student thrives and flourishes. We endeavour to educate pupils in a caring and nurturing atmosphere so that they are enabled to value life-long learning and the Gospel values can be related to everyday life and work.
Excellence
St Peter’s has an excellent academic record and all pupils who come here make very good progress. We pride ourselves on the high standards that we hold as a school and the quality first teaching that our pupils receive. After five years, a high proportion of St Peter’s pupils achieve excellent grades in their GCSE examinations.
Aspirations
At St Peter’s, we are passionate about ensuring that every pupil develops spiritually, morally, socially and physically. Therefore, we strongly value the extra-curricular life of our school and encourage all pupils to get involved in a wide range of clubs and activities.
What Our Community Says...
"I really enjoy being a pupil at St Peter's. The staff and atmosphere here is really friendly, warm and welcoming. I enjoy all of the subjects I am taught but my favourites currently are History and English. I have made lots of friends since coming to the school and look forward to seeing them everyday. I am so pleased that I came here!"

Today, representatives from our Year 7 and Year 11 Leadership Teams had the privilege of attending the Red Wednesday Mass at St Chad's Cathedral. The Mass was a powerful reminder of solidarity with those who face persecution for their faith, and it was celebrated by Archbishop Bernard Longley. We are proud of our pupils for representing our school community at such a meaningful event. #RedWednesday #Leadership #FaithInAction #StChadsCathedral

St Peter's would like to take today to thank all of the inspirational men we have within school. It is an important day to be reminded of raising awareness of supporting the wellbeing of men and boys. Take today as an opportunity to promote a positive conversation about men, manhood and masculinity. November is also the month to highlight the significance of talking about Men's Mental Health #diversity #inclusion #internationalmensday #mensmentalhealth

Today is #RedWednesday, a day to shine a light on the suffering of millions who are persecuted for their faith. Our Pupil Parliament Department of Catholic Life took part in the national live stream event hosted by The Mark 10 Mission in collaboration with the Kenelm Youth Trust (KYT) and explored ways to put faith into action to help raise awareness and bring hope to those who need it most. #pupilparliament

Last Tuesday, our Year 8 House Captains and KS3 Chaplaincy Leads enjoyed a retreat to Harvington Hall. The day began with a fascinating tour of the Hall, where pupils learned about its rich history and even experienced what it might have been like to hide in the secret priest holes during times of persecution. We concluded the retreat with a beautiful, pupil-led prayer service, giving thanks for the courage and sacrifices of those who kept the faith alive for future generations. A truly inspiring day of reflection, history, and gratitude! #reflection #chaplaincy #history
