Open Evening
Open Evening: 19th September 2024
We are thrilled to announce that our recent Open Evening at St Peter’s was a fantastic success! The event welcomed prospective pupils and their families, giving them a unique opportunity to explore our vibrant school community and experience first-hand what makes St Peter’s so special.
Throughout the evening, visitors were treated to a wide range of activities that showcased the diverse subjects and opportunities available at our school. In the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department, students sampled delicious food from around the world, providing a fun and cultural way to learn about global cuisines. The PE department got hearts racing with a lively badminton & football session, allowing prospective pupils to enjoy a taste of our dynamic sports programs.
Over in the history department, our visitors took part in a chocolate history quiz, combining education with a bit of sweet fun. But one of the biggest highlights of the evening was in the science department, where our talented science teachers performed a live dissection of a goat's eye! This fascinating demonstration drew a lot of interest and showcased the hands-on, engaging learning experiences that await future St Peter’s students.
The energy throughout the evening was fantastic, with teachers, pupils, and visitors all contributing to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were delighted to meet so many enthusiastic future pupils, and we are excited about the possibility of seeing them again next September.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the evening such a wonderful success. We look forward to welcoming our next generation of St Peter’s pupils!
